Fall River fly fisher lands trophy ‘bows enters Shasta Trout Hawg of Fame

Rob, Fall RiverRob is a delightful guy and seasoned fly fisher who typically visits us for a trip or two each season including an annual trip with a group of friends each spring on the Fall River in pursuit of dry fly Rainbows with local guides Tom Peppas and George Durand.  You can imagine their surprise when they got into some unusually large Rainbows including this 20+ inch trophy to enter Shasta Trout’s Hawg of Fame.

Rob and friends enjoyed spectacular weather and great fishing to go with some fair catching once the bugs got going each morning and the Hex’s started their seasonal evening emergence.  With cooling weather in the forecast for next week and good hatches on the horizon the great fishing on the Fall should continue into August.  We still have some limited guide availability, consider this your invitation the get here now!

Summer is when we find some of our best fish on the Fall River, drop us a line if you are headed our way, we are always pleased to share the latest on conditions whether you are seeking guide service or not.
