Fishing Bear Lodge, Alaska

Fishing Bear Lodge AlaskaAugust 4-11th, 2013
3 spots remaining

Each season we travel to spectacular corners of the planet to sample fly fishing beyond the Shadow of Shasta. Our destinations are selected for the excellent fishing but more importantly the quality of the overall experience. We have visited numerous fisheries in Oregon, the Rocky Mountains and most recently British Columbia and Alaska. We  host a few trips each season that we believe are unsurpassed for their value. The dates we reserve are with the finest outfitters during the peak of their seasons. This season the owner of Shasta Trout, Craig Nielsen is returning to Fishing Bear Lodge, Alaska with his son Kevin.

Red Creek RainbowRed CreekPeace RiverIn the summers of 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2012 Shasta Trout had the pleasure of hosting trips to Fishing Bear Lodge in southwest Alaska.  It has been all we imagined and more, this is the wilderness Alaska we dream about.  We will be returning with a trip August 4-11th, 2013.  This is prime time for dry fly fishing for trophy rainbows and Artic Grayling along with Artic Char, vicious takes by Pike on mouse flies and incredible viewing of the amazing red Sockeye Salmon spawning runs.

The scenery is breathtaking and at $3600 for a full service lodge it is easily one of the best values in Alaska. We would love to share this opportunity with you, your family and friends.
