Fly Fishing Couple’s first Steelhead

Caron hooks up a half'er Still finding a few Chinooks Hooked up in the honey hole again! Beginner Steelheaders find Chrome

November 5&6

If you are a fly fishing fanatic, where do you take your sweetheart for a first steelhead date?   The Klamath River.  There may be no better place on the planet for someone new to the game as Wayne and Caron (his better part) discovered.  We found juveniles, half pounders, a couple bonus Chinook Salmon and some big beautiful chrome Steelhead adults.  We dead drifted from the boat, tight lined and even stepped out to wade some productive riffles and found fish in every case.  Caron suffered wind & rain under full conditions only to take the next day off when in dawned clear and warm.  Wayne took full advantage of his solo guide date with constant action all day.  It was just plain silly good!  We are looking forward to some more experiences with this delightful couple.
