The Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers have scheduled a fishout on Lake Siskiyou with Northern California fly fishing guide Craig Nielsen serving as Fishmaster. Lake Siskiyou has been fishing great for smallmouth bass and panfish with poppers cast to the bank during the day.
Hatches of Hexagenia Mayflies have been appearing each evening at sundown bringing both the smallmouth and trout to the surface for a feast. Casting huge dry flies to gulping fish while watching alpine glow work its way up Mt. Shasta is an absolute hoot. Join us for this great outing if you can.
