Klamath River Fall Steelhead

Mark and Don with one of many doubles A Birthday Bash, October 17th

Don had heard from Will at the Ashland FlyShop that the fall Steelhead fishng on the Klamath was outstanding.   He had a birthday today, and as is customary this time of year, he celebrated it by inviting friends and family to go fishing.  Mark, Tom and Mark (different from the first)  joined him for a drift trip on a glorious sunny fall day.  We managed to hook loads of fish, landed many but the few large adult fish that had arrived escaped our best efforts.  This was the first experience for this group on the Klamath as they usually remain north of the border for birthdays to test the waters on the Rogue and Williamson.  They were so pleased with the day that they expect to be back sooner rather than later!
