After looking for an epic day on the Klamath without much luck we found it on the Lower Sac today.
Lots of fish and big ones too! Bob has been known to bring good luck with him and he and Jim out did themselves today. Clouds of caddis and phenomenal spring weather. Though well traveled both landed their biggest trout ever! Bob’s fish qualified for ShastaTrout’s Hawg of Fame! Click on the pic to see more shots of great Lower Sac Trophy ‘Bows! In one run Bob landed three fish in nearly as many casts, with two over twenty inches and the “little one” about 18″. Yee hah!, it doesn’t get much better. Though flows were low we decided on a long drift to optimize opportunities. We found fish early and often so ended our day at the takeout at dark thirty, exhausted but exhilarated.
