Lower Sacramento River fly fishing guide report from Anthony Carruesco

Anthony poses a trophy Lower Sacramento River Rainbow Lower Sac continues to fish strong!

Anthony Carruesco just posted this report:

I have been out on the Lower Sac quite a bit this past week and the fishing has been outstanding. The flows remain low, just above 3,000 cfs which presents some awesome opportunities to hop out of the boat and wade prime runs. With sunshine and warm temps in the forecast the river should continue to fish well. The PMD hatches have really sparked the bite mid-day. The best flies in my boat have been smaller rubber leg stone patterns, Mercer’s poxyback PMDs and micro mays. The warmer weather should definitely bring out the caddis this week. Spring has sprung, NOW is the time to be on the Lower Sac.
