Releasing a McCloud Dry Fly 'Bow

Guide’s Day Off

I  had my  first weekend off in a while so…I went fishing.  The evening bite on the McCloud has been unbelievable so when I found myself running an errand  in the town of McCloud it made it an easy detour to air out a few dry flies.  While the hatch took a bit to get going in full force the fish were looking up from the first cast on.  The predominant bug was a PED but there were also Goldenstones, some Tibialis and a couple different Caddis getting grabs.  After about 45 minutes and a half dozen fish from 15-19″ to hand  I just sat and watched the evening unfold.  Magical.
