Harry has fished with us a few times and decided it was time to treat his son to a flyfishing trip in the Shadow of Shasta. The weather and conditions could not have been better. We sampled the McCloud the first day and even though we fished through the heat of the day managed some willing fish. We caught them both with our dry dropper rigs and nymphing. We had the river to ourselves and Harry found a very nice fish to end the day. The following day we opted for the Upper Sac and Brandon got a hot hand landing three fish in the very first run, each considerably larger than the previous one, concluding with a trophy bow on his first fly fishing trip ever! Dad managed several fish through the day and ended the evening landing a couple sizable ones that managed to escape as we tried to capture an image. Perhaps both Harry and the fish are a bit camera shy? ;>)e
