The Oregon Coast

We believe the Oregon Coast is the best winter steelhead destination on the planet. Southern Oregon is known for its mild weather which for winter steelheaders translates to better conditions and more fishable days. There are a number of well known rivers, the Chetco, Rogue, Elk, Sixes, Umpqua, Coquille, and Smith along with some smaller watersheds and tributaries. The fish are typically larger than their summer run cousins and in prime condition, as heavy as they are going to get, dime bright and full of fight. Hooking one of these ghosts is a magical experience that keeps us coming back season after season.
