Sunshine Steelhead

Paul with a chunky fall buck Klamath River, October 29th & 30th

Paul arrived on the first day of his trip to perfect Steelhead conditions, overcast with a light drizzle.  Some fresh grabby fish had arrived including several large ones we landed while a few brutes were a bit camera shy and managed to avoid getting their pictures taken.   We were so satiated that we opted to hike a little known local creek that is known to hold a steelie or two on the bright sunny day that followed.  We sight fished with dry flies and droppers to a few fish we found (flows were still much too low) and managed to land a half dozen half pounders.  Paul will be back for more, looking  to experience the full Steelhead conditions  he’s enjoyed in the past, nothing beats ice in the guides and fumbling with wet, frozen gloves.
