The Tracy Flyfishers invited me to present a program on Switch Rods during their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Most members had little or no experience with two handed rods, let alone switch rods. We had a large lawn just behind the meeting room so we enjoyed a warm summer evening outdoors demonstrating and explaining the versatility of these magical wands. We loaded them with floating lines, indicator lines, sink tips and Skagits and left some time afterwards for everyone to sample a variety of rods and lines. We answered lots of questions and hopefully provided some inspiration for all to give them a fish on their own. For more info on switchrods check out our articles Why Switch? and Switch Rod Techniques and Tactics.
