In the summers of 2008 and 2009 Shasta Trout had the pleasure of hosting a trip to Fishing Bear Lodge in southwest Alaska. It was all we had imagined and more, this is the Alaska we dream about. We are planning to return in 2010 for two weeks, August 16th through the 22rd and August 23th through the 29th. This is prime time for dry fly fishing for trophy Rainbows and Artic Grayling along with Artic Char and vicious takes by Pike on mouse flies. Owner Justin Johns and his family are incredible hosts, his guides are hard working and friendly, the food is great, the weather is mild and bugs in late summer are not a bother. The scenery is breathtaking and at $3950 for a full service lodge it is easily one of the best values in Alaska. We would love to share this opportunity with you, your family and friends.
