What To Bring

rod-and-reelYou’ll want to bring rods and reels suited to the fabled rivers and legendary fish we feature. This most often means a six or seven weight rod with matching floating line on the Lower Sacramento, Rogue and Klamath Rivers and a four or five weight rod on the McCloud, Pit, Fall and Upper Sacramento Rivers as well as Hat Creek. We live and fish in the heart of the mountains and temperatures can range from the 30’s to the 100’s with dramatic weather changes during the course of a day. You’ll be most comfortable in outdoor clothes that you can layer including a rain jacket, lucky hat and sunglasses. Chest waders and felt soled boots are a must on walk and wade trips. If you need wading equipment we can arrange for you to rent it for a small daily fee. Your license and steelhead card can also be purchased when you arrive. The rivers are exceptionally scenic so you might want to remember the camera too!
We hope to hear the sweet sound of your reel singing soon!
