John was the lucky winner at the Portland Fly Fishing Show for our free Steelhead Guide Trip on the Klamath. He and Steve decided to make a road trip out of it and sample other local waters while they were here. The Upper Sac is in great shape so they decided to explore a bit. They got lines wet when they arrived yesterday and each landed a fish this morning. After we gathered for a leisurely lunch in Dunsmuir we headed upstream where flows were considerably lower than downstream and got into a few fish in the first run but none to hand. Second run two more fish, again none to hand. The guide tried his hand at it with you guessed it two fish, none to hand. Final score Rainbows 6, Anglers 2 ;>) We’ll try our luck on the Klamath tomorrow. Lookout Steelies!
