Fly fishing on the Lower Sacramento River remains outstanding and Becky, with husband Phil, took full advantage. Visiting for several days this delightful couple enjoyed a couple days to sample the McCloud and Upper Sacramento Rivers and on their last day upped their game, landing several trophies including a very large fish played in heavy water on the Lower Sac. Shasta Trout guide Craig Nielsen rowed downstream chasing the bulky ‘bow several hundred yards as Becky played the fish flawlessly. The big beautiful trophy Rainbow matched her largest trout ever (an Alaskan Rainbow) and gained her entry into Shasta Trout’s “Hawg of Fame”.
